1. Get Up and Move Around

You should also take breaks every once in a while to move your body.

2. Wear the Right Shoes

Wearing the wrong shoes as a working woman can take a toll on your body, starting with the feet. When walking around the office and exercising to stay healthy, your feet will take the brunt of the weight and pressure of your body. Therefore, it’s very important to take your time when going to buy shoes that you will wear to work because you’re going to be wearing them for at least 8 hours a day. This basically means that you need to buy a pair of comfortable and high quality shoes. Make sure that whatever shoes you buy, are high quality and comfortable. The health of your body is most important here, style should only come to play after comfort has been taken care of.

3. Eat Healthy

Eating healthy will help you maintain the proper weight, which is very important since being overweight may lead to numerous diseases. Consider packing your own lunch to work as this can help you control what you eat. This will also reduce the urge to go out and get fast foods to eat quickly during lunch. Consider packing fruits and salads, and avoid unhealthy greasy foods.

4. Drink Lots of Water

Every bodily function is dependent on water. Dehydration can cause sluggishness, moodiness, problems focusing, fatigue and more. Drinking enough water will help you stay energized and healthy, and will also keep your mind off coffee and soda. It’ll even help you manage cravings. If you desire some sort of flavor, you can put cucumber or lime slices into the water bottle. Try and drink 2l to 3l of water each day.

5. Maintain Proper Posture

Maintaining a good posture while at work will require conscious effort on your part. Keeping good posture while at work will help reduce the risk of neck strain, lower back pain, and tense shoulder muscles. To maintain proper posture while sitting, try and keep a straight back. Always try to keep the computer screen at the eye level, and sit with your shoulders back. Remember to keep checking your position every couple minutes so as to ensure you are maintaining proper posture.
